My name is Wes Coast — also known as Wesley Joseph Prussing. I’m an animated filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist who graduated from the Character Animation program at the California Institute of the Arts in 2025. I’ve gotten my hands dirty in almost every part of the animation pipeline and consider myself a generalist. However, my ultimate goal has always been to create an animated series I’ve been developing over the years. You can see the evolution of the concept throughout my films in the Films section.
I’m at a bit of a crossroads with what I want to do next, but world-building and storytelling will always be at the heart of whatever path I take… and honestly, I want to go down several. I recently got back into music production, and I’m eager to explore the medium further.
I also do freelance work and am open to whatever opportunities come my way. I’m always excited to keep expanding the world I’m building — so keep a tab on me.
